The Slightly Odd Society is now open: A New Community for Strange History, Folklore, Cryptids, and plenty of Ghosts
Welcome to the Slightly Odd Society: The Official Membership for Slightly Odd America
If you love paranormal history, cryptids, ghost stories, haunted places, folklore, and weird American history, you’ve found your people.
Slightly Odd America started in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, as a project to document the odd and haunted history of Central Massachusetts. It grew into a nationwide community of strange history buffs, ghost hunters, urban legend obsessives, and cryptid fans.
From New England folklore documented by the Library of Congress American Folklife Center to cryptid legends tracked by the Smithsonian’s folklore archives, weird history is real history.
The Slightly Odd Society is the official extension of Slightly Odd America.
It's not a replacement. It's not a spin-off. It’s where Slightly Odd America gets more interactive, more personal, and odder.
Think of it like this: Slightly Odd America is the free feed you know and love. The Slightly Odd Society is your all-access pass to everything first, plus the community you’ve been asking for.
What Is the Slightly Odd Society?
The Slightly Odd Society is a paid membership community for fans of paranormal history, folklore, haunted places, cryptids, and weird true stories. It’s where the weird gets real with no algorithms, no lurkers, and no doom scrolling. It's just folklore, ghost stories, urban legends, and roadside oddities with fellow believers and skeptics.
If you’ve ever fallen down a rabbit hole of Mothman sightings, haunted New England legends, cursed objects, Bigfoot encounters, or forgotten local folklore, this is your new home base. You're going to love it.
What You Get Inside the Slightly Odd Society
Slightly Odd Society members get first access to everything I create, plus exclusive posts and community features you can’t get anywhere else.
1. First Access: DID YOU KNOW Posts
My signature DID YOU KNOW paranormal facts, haunted history, and creepy folklore posts hit the Society first. Members see every DYK before it goes public.
2. First Access: Slightly Odd Road Trips
Members get early access to Slightly Odd Road Trip guides to haunted places, cryptid sighting locations, abandoned places, and weird roadside attractions across America. Think haunted roads, legendary monster hotspots, creepy small towns, and offbeat museums.
3. First Access: Slightly Odd America Videos
All new paranormal videos, haunted history documentaries, folklore explainers, and cryptid videos from SlightlyOddAmerica.com and YouTube premiere in the Society first. There's no algorithm and no waiting.
4. First Access: Public Articles
Every new Slightly Odd America blog post about ghosts, cryptids, urban legends, and weird American history is published to members first. You read it before it hits the public.
5. Slightly Odd Community Posts: You Shape What’s Next
This is where the Society gets interactive. You get members-only community posts with polls, questions, and story prompts. Vote on the next DID YOU KNOW topic, answer folklore questions, share your own ghost stories and paranormal encounters, and help decide the next Slightly Odd Road Trip or merch drop.
6. Exclusive Articles for Society Members Only
Beyond first access, Slightly Odd Society members also unlock exclusive articles you won’t find on the free Slightly Odd America feed. These are members-only deep dives into paranormal history, haunted places, cryptid legends, folklore, urban legends, and weird American history — think expanded DID YOU KNOW stories with extra photos and sources, extended cuts of Slightly Odd Road Trips with haunted and cryptid locations too niche for the public blog, and exclusive essays on ghost stories, Mothman and Bigfoot sightings, cursed folklore, and forgotten odd history. If you love creepy facts, scary true stories, haunted travel, and weird history, these exclusive articles are written just for the Society.
